What You’ll Actually Do
• Contribute: Operate within a Sysco warehouse, acting as a critical member of the essential foodservice supply chain.
• Select: Accurately pick and prepare customer orders for delivery to various foodservice venues within the local community.
• Operate: Engage in an active, physical role involving the proficient operation of an electric pallet jack and/or forklift as needed.
• Organize: Efficiently organize and meticulously palletize a wide range of products to accurately build complete customer orders.
• Support: Perform various other duties as assigned to ensure smooth and effective warehouse operations.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level position, requiring candidates to be at least 18 years of age. No college degree or prior warehouse experience is required, with comprehensive on-the-job training provided.
• Experience: 0-1 year of relevant work experience is required, as this role is immediately hiring and does not necessitate prior experience in a similar setting.
• Skills:
• Ability to frequently lift and handle products weighing between 10 to 75 pounds, with the capacity to lift up to 100 pounds.
• Capability to frequently reach up to 72 inches to retrieve products from various shelf heights.
• Physical endurance to work consistently on your feet for shifts lasting 10 to 12 hours daily.
• Dexterity and stamina to constantly bend and twist, especially when operating an electric pallet jack or forklift and accessing lower shelf areas.
• Adaptability to work effectively in a safe environment that includes exposure to very extreme temperatures, such as cooler and/or freezer sections.
• Bonus:
• One year of experience operating an electric pallet jack or forklift.
• One year of experience in a warehouse environment, military service, or another physically active job.
• One year of experience specifically in order selection.
• A preferred history of two years of consistent work.
