Rotational Development Program | Flexport

The Tone:
This is a full-time rotational development program at Flexport, a company shaping the future of the $10T global trade industry with technology and people. The program is designed to build a unique skill set that combines real supply chain fluency with the ability to build and automate solutions, addressing a critical gap in the market. Participants will tackle global challenges, impacting business, society, and the environment, through live, revenue-generating work.

The TL;DR

• Mission: To build the operational and technical skill set that runs global trade, merging supply chain fluency with automation and building capabilities.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Gateway Operations: Own the shipment lifecycle by executing bookings, managing exceptions, and maintaining data integrity to Flexport’s standards.
• Customs Navigation: Become a global trade expert by understanding complex customs regulations to ensure goods comply with international laws.
• Applied Technical Work: Develop skills in SQL, workflow automation, and Lean process improvement while simultaneously building your first automation and reporting tools.
• Client Engagement: Take on go-to-market work and develop client-facing skills through sales and account management functions, operating with increased independence.
• Business Problem Solving: Identify a real business problem within your function and create a tooling or process fix, which will be presented to leadership at graduation.

The Must-Haves
• Background: On track to graduate, or recently graduated, with a desire to build a career at the intersection of supply chain operations and technology.
• Experience: Ability to operate with minimal supervision, prioritize a high volume of work, and communicate clearly under pressure.
• Skills: Genuine curiosity about AI and low-code tooling with a desire to build real fluency, a compliance-first mindset, and problem-solving through tooling or process fixes.
