Part-Time Warehouse Lead (Morning Shift/AM) | Sway

The Tone:
This is a part-time role at Sway, located in Austin, TX. Sway is a fast-growing logistics and technology company building next-generation delivery and return solutions for modern e-commerce brands and 3PLs. This role is vital for coordinating workflow, supporting the team on the floor, and ensuring accurate and efficient processing of inbound and outbound shipments. It also serves as the on-shift point person, guiding associates and maintaining operational standards. This is an opportunity to step into a leadership position while remaining actively involved in warehouse operations.

• Mission: This role ensures accurate and efficient processing of inbound and outbound shipments by coordinating workflow, supporting the team, and maintaining operational standards.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Workflow Coordination: Monitor workflow to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and timely processing of inbound and outbound shipments.
• Team Leadership: Serve as the on-shift point person for questions, coordination, and support, helping to train and guide warehouse associates on standard procedures.
• Inventory & Shipment Management: Receive, sort, and organize incoming inventory and shipments, maintaining accurate records and ensuring shipment tracking is up to date.
• Quality Control & Resolution: Verify shipping labels, delivery photos, and shipment details for accuracy, and track, review, and help resolve failed or exception deliveries.
• Operational Communication: Communicate operational updates, issues, and priorities to the Operations Manager, while identifying opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Career level: Lead. Core domain knowledge: Basic warehouse procedures, tools, and safety standards.
• Experience: 1+ years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment; experience working on a team and/or supporting or training peers.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to follow processes accurately, good communication skills for working with team members and drivers, comfortable using warehouse apps or systems, ability to lift and move boxes (up to 30 lbs) and stay active throughout the shift.
• Bonus: Forklift certification; Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
