Part-Time Utility Billing Clerk I | Eagle Mountain City

What You’ll Actually Do
• Customer Service: Provide ongoing day-to-day assistance to the public, addressing account issues and coordinating with supervisors regarding delinquent accounts.
• Account Processing: Assist customers with service transfers, terminations, new service connects, and application forms, including processing adjustments.
• Inquiry Resolution: Respond to and resolve customer issues, questions, and problems posed in person, over the telephone, or electronically.
• Data Management: Operate computer systems to update and maintain changes in utility accounts, ensuring proper billing for services.
• Financial Processing: Enter and update account records, balance daily receipts, run subtotals to reconcile with accounts receivable, and batch collected payments.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Graduation from high school with course background in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related field.
• Experience: No experience necessary.
• Skills: Knowledge of bookkeeping and general accounting techniques for computerized systems; proficiency in personal computer operations including MS Excel and MS Office; accurate data entry; effective verbal and written communication; numerical accuracy for computations involving whole numbers, fractions, decimals, rates, ratios, and percentages.
• Bonus: Bilingual speaker preferred; ability to type.
