OPERATIONS Intern | Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco
The Tone:
This is a temporary part-time internship at Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, located in San Francisco, CA. The TL;DR

• Pay: $21.00 – $36.00 hourly
• Team: Operations interns will be placed within teams such as Audit, Banking Supervision, District Cash Services, Federal Reserve Financial Services, Enterprise Risk Management, or Workplace Experience.
• Mission: Ensure business operations remain sound, updated, efficient, and documented by applying critical thinking and collaboration on various projects.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Analyze: Utilize critical thinking to assess current business operations, ensuring they remain sound.
• Optimize: Apply problem-solving skills to update and improve the efficiency of operational processes.
• Record: Document operational procedures and findings clearly through effective writing.
• Collaborate: Work with team members on projects that address operational challenges and identify solutions.
• Develop: Gain practical experience and exposure to various operational issues, building foundational knowledge for future career development.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled full-time as an undergraduate or graduate student in an accredited community college, four-year college, or university, with an expected graduation date between December 2027 – June 2029. Desired areas of study include Accounting, Logistics, Operations Management, Psychology, Public Administration, Supply Chain, and Risk Management.
• Experience: Ability to work 40 hours per week for the full 10.5-week internship duration (either May 26 – August or June 9 – August) and 5 days per week in-office.
• Skills: Critical thinking, problem-solving, writing, and collaboration.
• Bonus: Keen interest in public service and the mission-driven work of the SF Fed, along with demonstrated leadership ability.
