Staff Accountant | Hunter Hamilton

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Reporting: Prepare various account reconciliations, process essential accruals, and record accurate journal entries to ensure the integrity of financial data.
• Month-End Close: Reconcile intercompany accounts and actively support the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Tax & Compliance: Prepare and review critical filings, including property tax, sales tax, annual reports, licenses, and other regulatory submissions, while ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies.
• Expense & Asset Management: Administer company purchase card accounts, review employee expenses for adherence to policy, and support both cash application and fixed asset accounting processes.
• Audit & Special Projects: Assist with comprehensive audit preparation, contribute to federal and state tax activities, and manage various special projects and other accounting deliverables as assigned.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: No specific years of experience required for this role.
• Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to identify and resolve accounting discrepancies, excellent communication and organizational skills, and strong Microsoft Office/computer skills.
• Bonus: Experience with an ERP system.
