Staff Accountant I | LS Solutions

This is an onsite position at LS Solutions. The Staff Accountant I ensures that every financial transaction is meticulously recorded, reconciled, and reported, thereby supporting sound business decisions, regulatory adherence, and operational transparency across LS Solutions. This position offers a vital entry point into financial management within the organization.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Journal Entry Management: Prepare and post diverse journal entries accurately, covering critical areas such as payroll, fixed assets, travel, entertainment, and all operating expenses. This ensures strict adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in all financial recording.
• Account Reconciliation: Execute comprehensive monthly reconciliations of various financial accounts, including bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts, to verify transaction accuracy and maintain financial integrity.
• Financial Close Support: Provide essential assistance during month-end and year-end close processes. This involves the precise preparation of necessary accruals and adjustments, contributing directly to timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Reporting and Audit Assistance: Support the creation of key financial statements, internal management reports, and critical audit schedules. This work is performed under supervision, contributing to transparent financial communication and audit readiness.
• Process Enhancement and Analysis: Actively participate in initiatives aimed at improving existing accounting workflows and processes, with a focus on enhancing efficiency and accuracy. Additionally, analyze financial data to identify significant trends or potential discrepancies and issues.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field. This is an early-career position requiring a foundational and solid understanding of basic accounting principles and a firm grasp of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Experience: Bring 0–3 years of accounting experience, which can include valuable practical experience gained through internships or part-time roles. Essential proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required for data management and analysis.
• Skills: Demonstrate strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills to manage complex financial data. Exhibit proactive problem-solving capabilities, excellent communication skills for effective team interaction, and a proven ability to work collaboratively within diverse teams.
• Bonus: Familiarity with various accounting software platforms, specifically examples like QuickBooks or NetSuite, is considered a significant and valuable advantage for this role.
