Operation Trainee Skillbridge Program | Bunge

The Tone:
This is a DOD SkillBridge program, an internship-like opportunity with Bunge, located in Destrehan, Louisiana, as well as Council Bluffs, Iowa; Morristown, Indiana; and Decatur, Alabama. Bunge is a premier agribusiness solutions provider with 37,000 employees worldwide, connecting farmers to consumers to deliver essential food, feed, and fuel. This role offers participants hands-on training and knowledge development in Bunge’s operations, preparing them for potential full-time leadership, engineering, maintenance, and other operational roles upon successful completion.

• Mission: Gain hands-on training and develop knowledge of Bunge’s operations to prepare for potential full-time operational roles.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Safety Leadership: Train, develop, and lead the Bunge safety culture by learning and demonstrating safe work habits.
• Operational Participation: Participate fully in the day-to-day physical operation of a Bunge facility to understand fundamental processes.
• Process Understanding: Develop a thorough understanding of operational processes and demonstrate this knowledge by responding to inquiries from supervisors or mentors.
• KPI Optimization: Assist the facility in prioritizing and optimizing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Project Support: Assist plant management with various projects, including drawing reviews, equipment specifications, and facility start-ups.

• Background: Entry-Level. Candidate must be approved to participate in the DOD SkillBridge program.
• Experience: Willingness to relocate for future growth opportunities and/or business demands is required.
• Skills: Collaborative team player; Ability to manage multiple and shifting work priorities, ambiguity, adversity, and change; Exceptional verbal, written, and listening communication skills; Strong problem-solving skills with mechanical and analytical aptitude; Proficiency in standard PC applications.
• Bonus: Bachelor’s, Associate’s, or vocational degree is a plus.
