• Mission: To define and maintain enterprise standards, operating frameworks, and governance structures for nonpatient food service operations, ensuring consistent outcomes and experiences across all Mayo Clinic sites.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Leadership: Serve as Mayo Clinic’s enterprise leader and owner’s representative for all nonpatient food service operations, including retail, unattended services, and innovation enablement.
• Standardization: Define and maintain enterprise standards, operating frameworks, and performance expectations within a contracted service delivery model.
• Strategy Translation: Translate strategic priorities into measurable standards, playbooks, and clear expectations for system-wide implementation and consistent execution.
• Partnership: Partner closely with site leadership, patient dining/nutrition leadership, vendor partners, and enterprise support functions to ensure consistent and reliable service delivery.
• Performance Management: Drive financial and contract compliance, manage vendor governance, and ensure operational performance, quality, and service across all nonpatient food service domains.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, hospitality, food service management, or a related field. This is a Senior Director level enterprise role with systemwide accountability.
• Experience: Seven or more years of progressive leadership experience leading multi-unit operations across multiple sites, with demonstrated hands-on expertise in contract foodservice operations at multi-site scale. Experience must include working within vendor partner delivery models with shared accountability for performance.
• Skills: Demonstrated expertise in contract foodservice operations leadership at multi-site scale, financial performance, contract compliance, operational metric discipline, vendor governance and performance accountability, executive communication, and cross-domain partnership.
• Bonus: Master’s degree in healthcare administration, business, hospitality, or a related field. Experience in healthcare hospitality, food service, facilities, or comparable service-based operations, along with experience leading enterprise governance structures or systemwide standardization initiatives.
