Security Officer / Front Lobby | Shriners Children’s Northern California

This is a part-time role at Shriners Children’s Northern California, located in Sacramento, CA. Shriners Children’s is nationally recognized for pediatric orthopedics and provides world-class care in various specialties like rehabilitation, burns, and cleft lip and palate services. As a Security Officer / Front Lobby, you will be essential in safeguarding hospital property and all individuals within the facility, while also delivering a welcoming and professional first impression to patients, families, and staff.
The TL;DR

• Pay: $24.03–$33.92 hourly
• Mission: Protect and serve the hospital community and property, while also providing a welcoming and helpful front lobby experience.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Visitor Assistance: Greet and assist visitors, patients, employees, and medical staff in a pleasant and professional manner at the front lobby desk.
• Communication Management: Answer, route, page, and take messages for all incoming telephone calls, including those from hospital staff, in a respectful and timely manner.
• Safety & Security Operations: Perform a variety of functions to ensure the safety and security of all persons on hospital property and safeguard organization property and buildings, adhering to city, state, and federal laws and regulations.
• Customer Service: Consistently maintain excellent customer service and guest relations abilities while exercising responsibility in responding to the security needs of the hospital community.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Valid Consumer Affairs Security Officers License; Valid State driver’s license.
• Experience: No specific years required; experience in security, law enforcement, or hospital settings is highly valued.
• Skills: Excellent customer service and guest relations abilities; Professional communication for call handling and assistance; Capability to perform security functions in accordance with laws and regulations; Responsive problem-solving for security needs.
• Bonus: Prior security or law enforcement experience; Previous hospital experience.
