Sales and Operations Management Trainee | Penske Truck Leasing

What You’ll Actually Do
• Business Leadership: Run a business and quickly solve problems for customers who depend on Penske for success.
• Customer Solutions: Develop consumer and commercial customer solutions for local and national accounts, including Fortune 500 companies.
• Fleet Management: Manage Penske’s large inventory of vehicles, balancing fleet productivity, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
• Business Development: Generate new business leads and foster relationships with existing customers.
• Service Delivery: Ensure complete customer satisfaction.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree is required, with a preferred concentration in Business or Marketing. This is an early career role designed to cultivate skills in sales, operations, finance, and customer service.
• Experience: Requires a valid driver’s license and the ability and willingness to drive Penske vehicles, including a 26’ box truck. Must be willing to travel as necessary within the district for customer visits and training sites, and able to work the required variable schedule including evenings and weekends. This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation, requiring the maintenance of a current driver qualification file, including an annual motor vehicle records (MVR) check, a successfully completed DOT Physical, and Safety Performance History records.
• Skills: Demonstrated effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential. Candidates must be results-oriented, possess keen attention to detail, and exhibit good time management skills to balance fleet productivity, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
• Bonus: Prior internship or related work experience in a customer-facing role is preferred.
