Job Description: Research Aide

This Research Aide position at Argonne National Laboratory is primarily focused on enhancing the efficiency of large language model (LLM) inference. The core objective of the role is to improve performance through dynamic GPU resource allocation. This involves a multi-faceted approach to optimize GPU usage, minimize operational costs, and reduce latency associated with LLM deployments. A key aspect of the role will be exploring and implementing innovative techniques for boosting the overall performance of LLM systems.

Qualifications (Required):

To be considered for this Research Aide position, candidates must meet the following mandatory criteria:

• Must be currently enrolled full-time at an accredited academic institution.
• Must have successfully completed at least one semester of schooling by the program’s commencement.
• Must be 18 years or older when the appointment officially begins.
• Must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Should the candidate accept an offer, they must successfully pass a screening drug test.
• Must successfully complete a satisfactory background check.
• Must reside in the United States at the time of their appointment and throughout their tenure at Argonne National Laboratory.
