What You’ll Actually Do
• Field Work: Learn and safely perform various aspects of arboriculture, including pruning, rigging, cabling and bracing, root collar excavations, and tree removals on diverse commercial and residential properties.
• Equipment Operation: Master the proper maintenance and safe operation of essential arboriculture equipment, such as hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.
• Pest Management: Develop an understanding of integrated pest management programs through property inspections, accurate tree identification, insect and disease identification and management, and soil sampling.
• Documentation & Client Relations: Engage in critical record-keeping, develop skills in report writing, and practice effective client relations to ensure clear communication and service delivery.
• Professional Development: Actively participate in safety and training meetings, fostering professional relationships and building friendships within a dedicated and professional team environment.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Pursuing a degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Turfgrass, Horticulture, Environmental Science, Plant Science, Outdoor Recreation, Agriculture, or a related field; this role is ideal for an early career professional.
• Experience: Demonstrated interest in working outdoors in all weather conditions and a readiness to engage in hands-on practical field experience.
• Skills: Possess a passion for nature, the environment, and the outdoors; exhibit a positive attitude, a strong willingness to learn, and the ability to contribute effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
