What You’ll Actually Do
• Unit Observation: Observe and thoroughly understand the operational functions and core processes within your assigned work unit, gaining practical insight into a leading healthcare environment.
• Project Execution: Complete selected work assignments that are specifically designed to reinforce your academic learning, allow for performance assessment, and provide tangible benefits to your assigned Mayo Clinic work unit.
• Reporting & Documentation: Successfully complete and submit all required internship-related assignments and comprehensive reports, fulfilling obligations for both Mayo Clinic and your sponsoring educational facility.
• Guided Learning: Actively engage with one or more assigned Mayo Clinic mentors, seeking instruction and guidance to maximize your learning experience and assess your performance throughout the internship duration.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program from an accredited college or university.
• Experience: Must possess authorization to work and remain in the United States without requiring Mayo Clinic sponsorship now or in the future (e.g., U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee).
• Bonus: Ideally, completion of most courses required by the degree program.
