• Location: Overland Park, KS (In-person)
• Mission: To offer a comprehensive clinical experience focused on mastering routine care, preventive medicine, and emergency response, enabling students to apply academic knowledge in real-life veterinary situations.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Patient Care Management: Fully engage in the complete patient care journey, encompassing initial examination, accurate diagnosis, comprehensive treatment planning, and effective follow-up procedures, while also honing client communication skills.
• Clinical Skill Application: Directly apply theoretical knowledge gained from the veterinary program to practical, real-life clinical scenarios through hands-on learning and active participation.
• Emergency Response & Prevention: Master the effective handling of emergency veterinary situations and actively participate in the implementation of routine check-ups and preventive care strategies.
• Critical Analysis & Growth: Engage in reflective learning practices to analyze daily clinical experiences, fostering a deeper understanding of veterinary medicine, promoting critical thinking, and supporting significant professional growth.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely within a collaborative environment alongside experienced veterinarians, skilled support staff, and other veterinary students to enhance both patient outcomes and the overall educational experience.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early Career. Must be actively enrolled in a veterinary medicine program at an accredited college or university, demonstrating a foundational understanding of veterinary science.
• Experience: Prior academic engagement in veterinary science coursework and practical lab settings, preparing for direct clinical application within a veterinary care center.
• Skills: Strong aptitude for clinical learning, effective interpersonal communication, critical problem-solving and analytical capabilities, and a collaborative approach to patient care.
