Senior Manager, Account Manager – U.S. Army Sustainment & Customer Success (Remote) | Collins Aerospace
The Tone:

The TL;DR

• Pay: $132400–$251600 yearly
• Mission: Serve as a trusted partner to U.S. Army sustainment organizations, ensuring exceptional customer experience, mission-aligned support, and long-term account growth.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Interface: Serve as the primary customer interface for U.S. Army sustainment accounts, delivering responsive, high‑quality customer service and support.
• Account Leadership: Lead account management activities including forecasting, opportunity identification, pipeline development, and contract follow‑through.
• Sales Growth: Develop and maintain customer sales forecasts, achieving Customer segment orders/sales plans for Spare Parts, GSE, MRO, and Strategic Long Term Agreements.
• Customer Satisfaction: Drive customer satisfaction by understanding mission requirements, identifying gaps or challenges, and coordinating timely resolutions across internal teams.
• Collaboration: Collaborate closely with engineering, logistics, product, and operations teams to ensure customer needs are prioritized and accurately represented.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Requires a University Degree and a minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree with a minimum of 7 years of experience, demonstrating deep customer affinity with Army stakeholders and strong knowledge of defense sustainment operations.
• Experience: 8+ years of experience in sales related to aerospace or aviation activities, with previous military sales experience with OEM and US government customers. Must have experience developing and closing significant long-term agreements with OEM’s and US Government on Military Aftermarket business, including forming PBL agreements, and presenting and interacting with executive leadership.
• Skills: Must have comprehensive knowledge of finance, program management, marketing principles and practices, and a thorough understanding of related industry practices. Possess the ability to meet, establish, and maintain supportive relationships of high-level technical and non-technical customer personnel, and experience reporting on business metrics with clear knowledge on how to improve business performance.
