Registered Nurse (RN) – New Graduate | Cleveland Clinic Rehab Hospital

The Tone:
This is an early career Registered Nurse (RN) position at Cleveland Clinic Rehab Hospital, located in Avon, OH. As a joint venture with Select Medical, the hospital provides specialized inpatient rehabilitation for individuals recovering from brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas. This role is crucial for new graduates to develop their skills and deliver compassionate, exceptional care that addresses the medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges of patients transitioning through rehabilitation.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Assess Patient Needs: Initiate an ongoing systematic assessment of patients’ and families’ physical, emotional, social, educational, and functional needs.
• Develop Care Plans: Interpret assessment data to create comprehensive nursing care plans, including problem identification, diagnoses, orders, interventions, goals, and discharge planning.
• Collaborate Interdisciplinarily: Participate as a productive member of the interdisciplinary team in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of rehabilitation goals.
• Maintain Documentation: Assure that all documents within the medical record are complete, factual, accurate, and submitted in a timely manner.
• Implement Care: Collaborate closely with physicians and preceptors to ensure the effective implementation and follow-up of patient care plans.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Graduate of an accredited program for registered nursing.
• Experience: No prior RN experience required as this is a new graduate role. Must obtain a valid State RN License by the start date and possess BLS (Basic Life Support) certification at hire.
• Skills: Patient assessment, nursing care plan development, interdisciplinary team collaboration, accurate documentation, and scheduling flexibility to meet program requirements.
