The Tone:
As a Receiver/Stocker at Lowe’s, a FORTUNE® 100 home improvement company, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and customer-ready store environment. This position involves accurately receiving incoming freight, efficiently stocking shelves, and meticulously organizing merchandise, including top stock, across the sales floor and backroom. You will be responsible for systematically unloading deliveries, safely handling various equipment and hazardous materials, and ensuring your assigned areas are well-prepared for daily operations and customer interactions. This is a physically demanding and fast-paced role that requires diligent adherence to safe lifting practices and a strong attention to detail throughout your shift.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Customer Service: Deliver SMART customer service by assisting customers, thoughtfully answering their questions, and offering support with their home improvement projects whenever needed.
• Freight & Merchandise Management: Efficiently unload freight, stock merchandise, organize shelves, and set up pallets, ensuring accurate product placement and availability.
• Equipment Operation & Safety: Safely operate various store equipment, including pallet jacks, forklifts, scanners, Zebra phones, and balers, while adhering to hazardous material procedures and general housekeeping.
• Delivery Verification & Dock Prep: Support store operations by accurately verifying deliveries, completing essential dock preparation tasks, and ensuring efficient flow of goods.
• Pro Order Fulfillment (for Pro Fulfillment Stores): Use the Orders App to pick, stage, and load Flatbed Delivery orders, ensuring quality, accuracy, and customer satisfaction through proactive communication.

The Must-Haves
• Background: High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable. This role is typically suited for early-career individuals.
• Experience: A minimum of 3 months experience operating forklift/power equipment such as lifts or order pickers; and 6 months experience in a warehouse environment performing inventory handling and stocking tasks.
• Skills: Proficient in operating store equipment like scanners, Zebra phones, balers, pallet jacks, and forklifts; strong attention to detail for accurate freight handling and inventory organization; ability to perform safe lifting practices; effective customer service.
