AI Product Manager Project Intern (TikTok LIVE-Ecosystem Governance) – 2026 Start (BS/MS) | TikTok

The Tone:
This is a project intern role at TikTok, located in Los Angeles. TikTok is a leading global platform for short-form mobile video, aiming to inspire creativity and bring joy through its diverse teams and innovative product. This intern will play a key part in the TikTok LIVE Ecosystem Governance team, contributing to the development of a safe, engaging, and high-quality livestreaming environment that fosters creativity and community worldwide. The role focuses on ensuring platform integrity and supporting sustainable growth through product strategies and governance solutions.

• Team: LIVE Ecosystem Governance team, which ensures platform integrity by designing product strategies, moderation mechanisms, and governance solutions.
• Mission: To assist in developing governance tools, optimizing ecosystem strategies, and driving cross-functional collaboration to enhance livestreaming experiences and platform safety.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Product Development & Optimization: Assist in designing and improving LIVE ecosystem governance tools and strategies to enhance content quality and platform safety.
• User Education Strategy: Develop user education strategies aimed at promoting positive engagement and preventing violations within the livestreaming community.
• Ecosystem Analysis & Insights: Analyze livestreaming trends, governance challenges, and user behavior to identify risks and inform improvements.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, operations, Algo, and Data teams to enhance governance efficiency and drive product iterations.
• Feature Rollout & Communication: Assist in the launch of new governance features and policies, ensuring clear communication with stakeholders and monitoring user feedback.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing an Undergraduate or Master’s degree in Business, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience: Ability to commit to a minimum 12-week internship period during Spring 2026.
• Skills: Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities; excellent communication and teamwork skills for cross-functional collaboration; a self-motivated and detail-oriented approach with a strong sense of project ownership; a passion for livestreaming, content/community governance, and trust & safety in digital platforms.
• Bonus: Ability to continue working onsite during Summer 2026; internship or project experience in product management, content governance, or trust & safety field; familiarity with livestreaming platforms and TikTok LIVE’s creator community; basic data analysis skills (SQL); ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment and real-time governance challenges.
