Intern, Product Management Innovations & Partnerships | BMW Group

The Tone:
This is a full-time internship at BMW Group, located in Mountain View, CA, running from March to September 2027. BMW Group is a leading global manufacturer of premium automobiles and motorcycles, continuously exploring future mobility and technological advancements across its global entities. This role is crucial for identifying new product and business opportunities, fostering strategic partnerships, and driving the development of innovative solutions within the company’s ecosystem by connecting various teams and external partners.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Collaborate: Work with internal and external stakeholders to identify new product and business opportunities for the BMW Group.
• Coordinate: Support cross-functional teams and coordinate strategic initiatives with external partners.
• Build Relationships: Establish and maintain connections with Silicon Valley technology companies and other strategic partners.
• Develop Products: Help create innovative business models and new products in collaboration with marketing, engineering, sales, and UX/design teams across BMW headquarters and U.S. entities.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Business Administration, Economics, Business IT / Engineering, Marketing, or Data and Business Analytics.
• Experience: Prior BMW Group experience, completion of at least 60 college credit hours at the time of application, and US Work Authorization. A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 is required.
• Skills: Expert knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel. Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and leadership skills. Strong analytical capabilities.
• Bonus: Business fluent English or German. Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information. Self-motivated and adaptable to a dynamic environment. Excellent time-management skills, ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Capability to work collaboratively in a team and drive independent workstreams within broader projects.
