The Tone:
This is a full-time, hybrid role at AdviceOne LLC Careers, with required in-person attendance on Tuesdays in Glastonbury, CT. AdviceOne is a rapidly growing advisory firm that specializes in retirement decisions and asset management for clients nationwide. This crucial role is designed for an aspiring leader ready to step into a management position within our Operations team. • Mission: To lead, coach, and develop an operations team while identifying and implementing process improvements to achieve strategic goals.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Management: Own the day-to-day management of your team, ensuring work progresses and priorities remain clear.
• Culture Building: Build and maintain a culture of urgency and accountability within the team.
• Team Development: Coach, train, and mentor team members, taking ownership of their growth and guiding them through challenges.
• Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies and create better operational processes and ways of doing things.
• Strategic Partnership: Partner with the leadership team to shape and execute strategy for your designated operational area.
The Must-Haves
• Background: A natural leader with a BA/BS degree, prepared to own outcomes and lead a team within an operational setting.
• Experience: No prior financial experience is required, and while management experience is a plus, the core requirement is a readiness to take accountability and drive team performance, whether you are new to management or have a couple of years under your belt.
• Skills: Strong analytical thinking and enjoyment of solving complex problems; excellent communication skills for clearly conveying expectations, feedback, and process changes; the ability to receive feedback well and act upon it immediately; highly organized and detail-oriented with the capacity to manage multiple moving parts simultaneously.
• Bonus: A forward-thinking individual who isn’t afraid to take calculated risks or challenge traditional approaches to foster continuous improvement.
