The Tone:
This is a full-time, hybrid leadership role at AdviceOne LLC, with required in-person work on Tuesdays in Glastonbury, CT, and the flexibility for remote work on other days. AdviceOne is a growing, women-led advisory firm specializing in retirement decisions and asset management for clients nationwide, operating as a fee-only fiduciary. This position is designed for an individual ready to step into a leadership capacity within the Operations team, effectively managing a group and ensuring day-to-day work progresses with clear priorities. The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Type: Hybrid, 40 hours/week, with 1 evening per week required
• Location: Hybrid, Glastonbury, CT

• Team: Leads an Operations team, working alongside the leadership team.
• Mission: To lead, manage, and develop the Operations team, fostering a culture of urgency and accountability while driving continuous improvement and strategic execution.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Team Management: Own the daily operations of your team, ensuring work progresses and priorities remain clear.
• Culture Development: Build and maintain a culture focused on urgency and accountability within the team.
• Talent Development: Coach, train, and develop team members, taking ownership of their professional growth and mentoring them through challenges.
• Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies or broken processes and proactively create and implement better ways of doing things.
• Strategic Partnership: Partner with leadership to shape and execute strategic initiatives for your operational area.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Possess a Bachelor of Arts or Science degree. This role is for a natural leader, ready to own outcomes and step into a developing Operations Manager position. No financial experience is required.
• Experience: Prior experience in management is a plus, but the key is being ready to hold people accountable, own outcomes, and having a track record of influencing and developing others to their greatest potential.
• Skills: Strong analytical thinking for solving complex problems; clear and direct communication of expectations, feedback, and process changes; exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple moving parts; and a collaborative approach to getting work done through people.
• Bonus: An out-of-the-box thinker who is comfortable challenging existing methods and taking calculated risks for improvement, and someone who receives feedback well and acts upon it immediately.
