The Tone:
This is a part-time role at At Home Group Inc., a large retail organization operating warehouse-format stores focused on home décor and furnishings. This position is vital for ensuring that all store processes run efficiently and align with documented company standards. The Operations Lead directly contributes to driving sales and maintaining an active selling culture by supporting the store team and upholding ethical conduct and safety.

• Team: Reports to Assistant Store Manager
• Mission: To ensure efficient store processes and an active selling culture are maintained to company standards to drive sales.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Operations: Perform all store opening, closing, and Front-End processes, ensuring accurate and timely execution and operational readiness.
• Staffing: Coordinate directly with the Assistant Store Manager to maximize staffing effectiveness that supports traffic, sales, and the customer experience.
• Task Management: Plan and execute the daily/weekly zone workload, assigning tasks to deliver on store and department goals.
• Support: Support the store team in areas of customer satisfaction, inventory control/shrink, safety, loss prevention, and expense control.
• Freight & Stocking: Participate in all freight processes for incoming freight, sorting and stocking products on shelves while maintaining a neat, clean, and organized store.

The Must-Haves
• Background: High School Diploma/Equivalent with a focus on supporting retail operations in a warehouse-format environment.
• Experience: At least 18 years old with demonstrated ability to lead operational tasks and support a retail team.
• Skills:
• Communicates clearly and concisely with excellent verbal, written, and comprehension skills.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and team lift 100 lbs., moving merchandise around the warehouse-format store routinely.
• Strong attention to detail regarding standards, processes, and marketing execution.
• Ability to comprehend, train, develop, motivate, and lead a team in a manner that fosters a smart, scrappy, safe, and fun work environment.
• Reliable and trustworthy, acting as an ethical and honest role model for the team and company in all situations.
