Operations Supervisor-PT- Cobb’s Comedy | Live Nation Entertainment

The Tone:
This is a part-time role at Live Nation Entertainment, located in San Francisco, CA, specifically for Cobb’s Comedy. This role is crucial for ensuring smooth venue operations and providing exceptional guest experiences, contributing directly to the company’s mission of connecting artists with fans through live entertainment.

The TL;DR

• Location: In-person, San Francisco, CA
• Pay: $20.00 USD – $25.00 USD Hourly
• Team: Works directly with the Ops Manager and Security Supervisor, communicating with the Manager On Duty (MOD).
• Mission: Solves guest and staff issues, ensures high service standards, and maintains operational integrity for live comedy events.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Operational Oversight: Work directly with the Operations Manager and Security Supervisor to perform and oversee day-of-show duties and venue operations.
• Guest Relations Management: Respond to and resolve all elevated staff and guest inquiries and concerns regarding shows, artist meet-and-greet packages, amenities, VIP programs, and seat upgrades.
• Team Leadership & Communication: Lead all pre-shift meetings, relay information from management directly to team members, and ensure service standards are met by Guest Services and Security teams.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure responsible alcohol service according to Live Nation policies, maintain proper line of sight and security in back-of-house areas, and complete necessary incident reports and witness statements.
• Venue Support & Administration: Perform opening, running, and closing duties, inform guests of Music Hall amenities, make recommendations, and turn in all lost and found articles to the Box Office.

The Must-Haves
• Background: High School Diploma required; working knowledge of high-volume nightclub operations, responsible alcohol service, and guest relations.
• Experience: Responsible Alcohol Awareness Training Certification or equivalent; possession of a Philadelphia Guard Card or equivalent certificate; prior experience in assessing and anticipating the special needs of guests.
• Skills: Strong guest relations and staff relations capabilities; effective communication skills; ability to prioritize duties and handle multiple tasks/issues effectively while maintaining an upbeat attitude; adept at turning potentially negative situations into positive ones.
• Bonus: Experience in a live music environment; college diploma in a related field.
