EHS Specialist II | Jabil
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Jabil, located in Vietnam. • Mission: This person ensures a safe and compliant manufacturing environment by managing occupational health, environmental programs, and regulatory adherence.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Occupational Health Management: Manage the complete operation of the onsite medical clinic, including outsourced service providers, medical supplies, equipment, and employee medical records.
• Environmental Compliance: Oversee hazardous and non-hazardous waste management, ensuring proper segregation, storage, and disposal, while also managing chemicals, SDS, labeling, and storage compliance.
• Health Program Coordination: Coordinate essential employee health activities such as pre-employment, periodic, and occupational health examinations, first aid, emergency response, and health promotion.
• Audit and Reporting: Support ISO 14001, ISO 45001, RBA, Corporate, and Customer audits, track Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) closure, and prepare all required Occupational Health, Environmental, EHS KPI, Incident, Corporate, and statutory reports.
• Regulatory Adherence and Monitoring: Ensure compliance with all Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations, manage environmental permits, and coordinate wastewater, air emission, and other environmental monitoring programs.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as Nursing, Public Health, Occupational Health, Medicine, Hospital Administration, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Safety, or other Health Science-related fields. Candidates from other disciplines with relevant Occupational Health or Environmental Management experience are also considered.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment, including experience in managing an onsite medical clinic or outsourced occupational health service providers, environmental management or legal compliance, and supporting ISO 14001, ISO 45001, RBA, Corporate, or Customer audits.
• Skills: Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration, supplier management skills, analytical and problem-solving abilities, proficiency in preparing reports and analyzing data, experience in supporting and responding to various audits, and good command of English or Chinese for daily communication.
• Bonus: Experience working with government authorities is an advantage.
