Luminis Health is dedicated to providing health care services, and this Nursing Graduate position is essential for supporting patient care by allowing recent graduates to develop their clinical skills and practice under direct supervision, bridging the gap between education and full licensure as a Registered Nurse. This role is a critical step for new nurses to integrate into clinical practice with comprehensive support.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Direct Supervision: Practice strictly under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse who is physically present on the unit.
• Medication Management: Transcribe medication orders, administer medications and controlled substances, and ensure the supervising RN cosigns all related documentation.
• Patient Procedures: Perform and document routine procedures learned in a generic nursing program, including placing nasal gastric tubes, performing urinary catheterizations, and applying sterile dressings.
• Documentation & Assessment: Document all nursing care in the medical record using the “NG” abbreviation and perform patient assessments after the initial assessment has been completed by an RN.
• Collaborative Support: Receive continuous observation, assistance, coordination, evaluation, and monitoring from the supervising Registered Nurse.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program, positioning this as an early career opportunity.
• Experience: Eligible to sit for the NCLEX examination, with a requirement to successfully pass within 120 days of application to the board of nursing. Practice as an NG must cease immediately if two attempts at the NCLEX exam are failed.
• Skills: Competency in performing routine nursing procedures, medication administration, accurate documentation in medical records, and patient assessment under supervision.
