Mobile Vehicle Inspector | Cox Automotive Inc.

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Cox Automotive Inc., located remotely, serving clients in Aurora, Colorado, and surrounding cities. Cox Automotive delivers a comprehensive marketplace through its Manheim mobile inspection services. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate vehicle condition assessments, fostering client trust, and promoting marketplace transparency to facilitate efficient inventory flow. You will act as a brand ambassador, building strong relationships with dealer clients and actively growing participation in Manheim’s services.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Vehicle Inspection: Conduct thorough vehicle inspections, including exterior, interior, basic mechanical, and component checks, in accordance with Manheim standards.
• Document Conditions: Accurately verify vehicle identification, VINs, mileage, sub-series, and options, while documenting damage, missing components, or inoperable features.
• Engage Clients: Build trust and strong working relationships with dealer clients, educating them on Manheim Marketplace and mobile inspection services to increase inspection volume.
• Manage Territory: Independently manage assigned inspection activity, adapt to daily schedule changes, and leverage data to maximize efficiency and productivity within the territory.
• Report and Collaborate: Prepare and submit daily activity and production reports, utilize Salesforce.com for tracking, and collaborate closely with Wholesale Specialists and other Manheim teams.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience: Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record required.
• Skills: Accurate vehicle inspection, detailed documentation, client engagement, independent problem-solving, and adherence to safety and compliance standards.
• Bonus: Minimal automotive knowledge (body and mechanical) preferred; 0-1 years of automotive-related experience preferred.
