What You’ll Actually Do
• Support: Contribute directly to the Susan G. Komen’s overarching mission by assisting the Marketing and Communications team in their various initiatives and projects aimed at breast cancer awareness and support.
• Develop: Build and refine practical professional skills through engagement in hands-on projects, directly contributing to your resume and professional portfolio.
• Collaborate: Work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) within the Marketing and Communications area to gain specialized knowledge and contribute to ongoing campaigns.
• Learn: Explore the operational landscape of a prominent nonprofit organization, gaining valuable insight into industry practices within a structured and supervised remote setting.
• Network: Foster professional relationships and expand your network through various opportunities provided within the Komen internship program.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Student actively enrolled in a 4-year or graduate degree program who maintains a minimum G.P.A of 3.0. The candidate’s degree program must specifically require an internship as a component for graduation, and they must be enrolled in a class to receive academic credit for this program.
• Experience: Prepared to fulfill a minimum of 120 hours over the course of the semester, or an equivalent duration as mandated by the candidate’s university program guidelines. This is an unpaid internship for the Fall 2026 semester.
• Skills:
1. Authorized to perform work duties within the United States.
2. Possess reliable internet access to effectively participate in a 100% remote work environment.
3. Availability from late January to early May, during Komen’s operating hours (Monday – Friday from 7am – 6pm CDT), specifically committing at minimum two four-hour blocks or three three-hour blocks of time per business week.
