Manager in Training | Texas First Rentals

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Texas First Rentals, located in Garland, TX. Texas First Rentals provides essential equipment and supplies for construction and other industries. This Manager in Training position is a vital development role within the rental division, designed to immerse an individual in all facets of branch operations and business planning. The role is critical for maximizing branch performance and profitability, ensuring Legendary Customer Service, and fostering a professional and caring culture aligned with the company’s values.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Cultivate and evaluate team productivity, fostering teamwork to deliver Legendary Customer Service.
• Champion HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools and processes, aligning actions with the company’s Vision, Values, and Mission.
• Support the Branch Manager in financial operations, including preparing P&L statements, yearly budgets, and optimizing financial performance using internal tools.
• Oversee successful branch operations and personnel management, ensuring compliance with company policies and promoting a strong safety culture.
• Drive business development and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to achieve corporate targets while providing leadership support for rental store operations.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work-related experience is required. This is an early career development role focused on learning branch operations and business planning.
• Experience: Proficiency in MS Office, with an emphasis on Excel and Outlook, and general experience using computer applications.
• Skills:
1. Strong financial acumen, including knowledge of economic and accounting principles, financial markets, banking, and the analysis/reporting of financial data.
2. Exceptional organizational, time management, multi-tasking, and attention-to-detail abilities.
3. Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of personnel.
4. Capability to apply logic and reasoning to identify solutions, understand implications of new information, and perform accurate mathematical computations.
• Bonus: Strong technical aptitude with an understanding of construction equipment and the rental industry, including knowledge of machine designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
