The Tone:
This is an early career position within an acute care setting, potentially specializing in areas such as telemetry. This role supports newly graduated nurses as they transition into professional nursing practice. The Graduate RN delivers essential patient care, administers treatments, and educates patients to promote recovery, safety, and overall well-being.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Develops: Collaborates with experienced RNs and healthcare teams to assist in the development and implementation of individualized patient care plans.
• Administers: Administers medications and treatments as ordered by physicians, ensuring accuracy, safety, and compliance with established protocols.
• Assesses: Performs comprehensive patient assessments, documenting vital signs, patient responses, and any changes in condition promptly within the EMR, including the use and analysis of telemetry equipment to track vital signs and report abnormalities for specialized cardiac care.
• Educates: Provides patient and family education on basic care, procedures, and treatment plans, promoting understanding and adherence for optimal recovery.
• Supports: Supports patient mobility, personal hygiene, and daily living activities, while maintaining a clean, safe, and infection-controlled care environment according to hospital policies.

The Must-Haves
• Background & Experience: 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting, with strong foundational knowledge of the nursing process and clinical practices.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of the nursing process and clinical nursing practices; ability to perform thorough patient assessments and effectively communicate findings; proficient in administering medications and monitoring for side effects; effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams; strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documenting patient care; and knowledge of safety standards and infection control protocols.
• Licenses & Certifications: RN – Registered Nurse – State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure and BCLS – Basic Life Support are required.
• Bonus: ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support, PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support, NRP – Neonatal Resuscitation certifications are preferred.
