The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Pratt & Whitney Canada, located in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) is a global leader in aerospace innovation, headquartered in Longueuil, Quebec, since 1928, designing and manufacturing next-generation aircraft engines. These engines power the world’s largest fleet of business, general aviation, and regional aircraft and helicopters, supporting critical missions from transporting essential goods to enabling emergency services and humanitarian operations. As the Global Trade Site Lead, this role is crucial for ensuring sustained compliance, developing strategies for export compliance, and leading Global Trade related topics across Plant 22 and other parts of Engineering.

• Pay: $101500–$151500 yearly
• Team: Reports to the Deputy Director for GTPS PWC Engineering
• Mission: Responsible for ensuring sustained compliance, developing strategies with the GT organization to ensure export compliance with enhanced business processes, and being the leader for GT related topics affecting Plant 22 and other parts of Engineering.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Ensure Compliance: Implement measures to maintain a strong Global Trade compliance environment within Plant 22 and other Engineering areas.
• Strategic Leadership: Provide strategies for effectively implementing Global Trade related projects and collaborate with Senior Managers in Engineering to sustain and enhance GT culture.
• Guidance & Education: Guide assigned parts of the GT Development/Escalation Focal network and employees in Engineering on Global Trade requirements embedded in business activities.
• Deploy Initiatives: Implement and deploy Global Trade requirements and initiatives regarding infrastructure and necessary enhancements, covering training, communication, and procedures.
• Project Support: Support or lead specific assignments and special projects as directed by Global Trade, including audits, investigations, and authorizations.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Engineering, Legal, Operations Management, or Drafting, with a focus on Global Trade principles for an Engineering environment.
• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of directly related experience, demonstrating practical knowledge of Engineering and Global Trade procedures and processes.
• Skills: Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; effective leadership abilities as a team player; demonstrated capacity to work with minimal daily supervision while managing multiple deadlines simultaneously; proficiency in MS Office; CORE Apprentice.
• Bonus: Prior experience within an aerospace manufacturing environment.
