Front of House Staff | Blue Man Group Orlando

The Tone:
This is an on-call role for Front of House Staff at Blue Man Group Orlando, located in Orlando, FL. What You’ll Actually Do
• Guest Welcome & Information: Greet all guests politely, scan tickets, direct them to seats, and provide essential venue information, including restrooms, concessions, exits, and detailed answers regarding BMG show specifics or the local neighborhood.
• Audience Oversight: Actively monitor audience safety and comfort, ensuring adherence to show policies, and preventing unauthorized photography, video, or audio recording throughout performances.
• Guest Support & Emergency Response: Respond promptly to audience inquiries, assist guests with disabilities, and manage late seating or emergency situations, including evacuations, when necessary.
• Show Coordination: Seamlessly execute assigned in-show Front of House cues to facilitate smooth show operations and enhance the overall guest experience.
• Venue & Concession Maintenance: Perform thorough pre- and post-show clean-up of all guest areas, and assist with restocking, cleaning, and sales within the concessions area as needed.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Prior experience in guest service-based industries.
• Experience: At least 2 years of experience in guest service or a similar environment.
• Skills:
• Strong communication skills, including fluent English (written and spoken) and the ability to communicate clearly via headset.
• Ability to work effectively within a team, adapt to changing circumstances, maintain a professional presentation following food safety hygiene guidelines, and learn a point-of-sale system.
• Physical capability to stand for extended periods, climb, crouch, kneel, and lift at least 50 lbs, sometimes in a high-energy, loud environment with varying temperatures and limited visibility.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety by adhering to OSHA regulations and all company health and safety standards, including assisting other departments for cross-departmental support.
• Availability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
