• Mission: This person owns the direct clinical support for dentists and ensures smooth patient experiences, contributing to positive community impact through improved oral health.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Patient Care Support: Assist the dentist directly during a variety of treatment procedures, ensuring smooth and effective clinical operations.
• Operatory Management: Set up operatory rooms for procedures and efficiently break them down post-treatment, ensuring readiness for subsequent patients.
• Infection Control: Manage and implement infection control protocols, including preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
• Documentation Assistance: Support doctors by accurately charting patient information and treatment details to maintain comprehensive patient records.
• Practice Operations: Perform various essential office tasks as needed to ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of the dental practice.
The Must-Haves
• Background: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. This is an early career position, with comprehensive paid training provided to obtain necessary certifications.
• Experience: No prior dental assisting experience is necessary; however, candidates must be capable of obtaining radiology and safety certification within the required timeframe for the state of practice through company-provided training.
• Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential to build rapport with patients of all ages and diverse backgrounds. A dedication to ongoing learning and professional development is also a key skill for success and career advancement.
