The Tone:
This is an internship at Six Flags, a leading company in the amusement park industry that creates thrilling entertainment experiences for guests. This role is instrumental in ensuring the smooth execution of all technical and guest-facing aspects of live shows. It offers a unique opportunity for current students and recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in orchestrating the magic behind live entertainment productions, upholding high standards of safety and guest satisfaction.

• Mission: Orchestrate both the technical and guest experience components of live entertainment productions to ensure smooth execution and high standards.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead & Mentor Teams: You will take an active role in leadership, effectively communicating with and motivating a diverse work crew, thinking quickly under pressure. This includes developing and meticulously maintaining work schedules, monitoring team member performance, and providing consistent coaching, counseling, and feedback to foster continuous improvement. You’ll also hold regular crew meetings to keep staff informed and ensure new personnel are properly trained and proficient in all job responsibilities.
• Ensure Operational Excellence: You are responsible for developing and implementing robust procedures to guarantee the efficient and proper operation of all show areas. This involves prioritizing a “guest first” mentality to ensure all shows start promptly as scheduled, and meticulously ensuring all show elements are well-maintained and executed safely, promptly reporting any unsafe acts to Entertainment Management. You will also serve as a crucial resource and point of contact, willing to support other department venues as operational needs arise, and complete all required departmental and park-related paperwork accurately and on time.
• Maintain Brand & Show Integrity: You will strictly enforce guidelines for all Character performers’ costumes and Meet & Greets, ensuring they adhere precisely to standards set by Warner Bros. and the Six Flags Production Team. Additionally, you will be expected to navigate safely in, on, or around scenic elements specific to productions, which may involve working in potentially dark and restrictive spaces to uphold show quality and safety.
• Support Departmental Growth: You will actively adhere to and enforce all park policies and procedures outlined in the Seasonal Handbook and the Department Standard Operating Procedure Manual. This role also involves working closely with Entertainment Management, assisting and shadowing in various other aspects within the Entertainment Department to broaden your experience and completing any projects assigned by Entertainment Management.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Current undergraduate student or recent graduate interested in live entertainment production.
• Experience: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a diverse work crew, and gain hands-on experience in live entertainment production.
• Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving skills under pressure, multi-tasking capabilities, and excellent teamwork.
• Bonus: Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
