Electrical Quality Superintendent – Renewable Energy (Traveler) | McCarthy Building Companies

The Tone:
This is a full-time, site-based role at McCarthy Building Companies, requiring extensive travel across the continental U.S. McCarthy builds renewable energy construction projects, and this role is crucial for ensuring the quality of electrical installations. The Electrical Quality Superintendent supports quality initiatives, conducts on-site inspections, acts as a primary liaison, and serves as a key point of contact for quality management across all project stakeholders.

• Team: Liaises with Electrical leadership, Quality group, trade partners, owner representatives, and McCarthy teams.
• Mission: Ensure the quality of electrical installations on renewable energy construction projects through on-site inspections, quality plan execution, and issue resolution.
• Tech Stack: PROCORE management system, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word

What You’ll Actually Do
• Develop: Assist in developing the Project Site Specific Quality Plan (SSQP) and the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) with project team input and client feedback.
• Enforce: Enforce the Quality process in the field by conducting on-the-spot checks and inspections of in-process and completed work.
• Strategize: Work with Self-Perform Electrical Leadership to implement a Quality strategy focused on data-driven decisions, customer value, and high-quality installation.
• Resolve: Identify, document, and verify the resolution of Quality Issues, Observations, and Non-Compliances in accordance with contract documents and the SSQP.
• Verify: Confirm first installation verifications, ensure ongoing verifications and testing are accomplished, and document them in the PROCORE management system per the ITP.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Electrician or Construction professional with experience working on similar renewable energy projects.
• Experience: Minimum 10 years’ of experience in similar projects and proven experience with quality management tools for design-build projects.
• Skills: Strong relationship-building skills, effective communication skills, proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Bonus: State Electrical license, Journeyman Electrician Union card, completed electrical apprenticeship certificate, or OSHA 30-Hr Construction Safety certification.
