The TL;DR

• Mission: To maintain dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen, work areas, equipment, and utensils in orderly and sanitary condition for a healthcare facility.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Dishwashing: Scrape and rinse food from dirty dishes, then wash them by hand or machine, ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Pot & Pan Cleaning: Wash pots, pans, and trays according to assigned procedures, ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Silver Polishing: Polish silver using specified equipment such as a burnishing machine, chemical dip, buffing wheel, or hand cloth, ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Area Maintenance: Keep the dish area orderly, sweep and mop kitchen floors, and wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, and other food prep surfaces.
• Waste Management: Remove trash, place it in designated containers, and clean garbage cans using steam or a hose.
• Operational Support: Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas, and assist with loading and unloading supplies and product.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Ability to maintain kitchen, work areas, equipment, and utensils in orderly and sanitary condition.
• Experience: Familiarity with ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen surfaces.
• Skills: Adherence to safety procedures, ability to maintain temperatures and chemical levels, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
• Bonus: Previous dishwashing experience is preferred.
