Director of Clinical Support Services | Mayo Clinic

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Mayo Clinic, located in Phoenix, AZ. This leader will drive strategic improvements and foster strong relationships to optimize product availability and workflow, directly impacting patient care delivery.

The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Location: In-person, Phoenix, AZ, USA
• Team: Site-based Supply Chain Leader and regional executive leader, partnering with clinical and administrative teams.
• Mission: Lead and advance supply chain operations to seamlessly support Mayo’s clinical practice and patient care initiatives.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead: Advance supply chain operations systems and processes to support Mayo’s clinical practice and initiatives.
• Align: Support and align supply chain strategy within surgical and procedural teams to ensure high-quality patient care support.
• Partner: Serve as the site-based Supply Chain Leader and strategic partner to clinical and administrative leaders, fostering strong relationships.
• Optimize: Drive efficiency, innovation, and reliability in product availability and workflow optimization, participating in plans to reduce costs.
• Evaluate: Measure internal customer satisfaction across practice areas and design improvements based on findings.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in business or process engineering from an accredited college or university, with a career level equivalent to Director. Core domain knowledge in Healthcare Supply Chain Management Operations.
• Experience: Ten years of management experience, including five years in progressively responsible management positions in Healthcare Supply Chain. Required experience in clinical areas with clinical process standardization, business process engineering, and performance improvement strategies. Experience leading major organizational changes and transformation, including large-scale supply chain redesign and other operational efficiency initiatives.
• Skills: Supply chain management, clinical process standardization, business process engineering, performance improvement strategies, stakeholder engagement, data-driven/quantitative decision-making, cost management.
• Bonus: Advanced certification in healthcare. Work experience in an academic health system. Experience in other industries recognized for world-class supply chain practices with a record of innovation. Knowledge of demand replenishment, inventory management, logistics, critical supply chain KPIs and related supply chain systems and technologies. Experience with cost management related to non-clinical operational improvements, care process or procedural standardization, and initiatives that enhance patient outcomes.
