Data Entry Operator | AECOM

This is a full-time, on-site Data Entry Operator role at AECOM. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting AECOM’s projects by accurately and efficiently processing essential data, ensuring the foundational information needed for complex infrastructure challenges is meticulously maintained. • Mission: To perform accurate and efficient data entry and clerical support from standardized documents, ensuring foundational information is processed for project operations.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Process Data: Perform precise data entry using designated software, working primarily with standardized source documents that are already coded and require minimal interpretation.
• Identify Discrepancies: Identify and report issues such as erroneous items, incorrect codes, or missing information within source documents for resolution by a government employee.
• Execute Clerical Tasks: Carry out a range of clerical duties and general office functions, including proofreading and recording data, managing photocopies, sending and receiving faxes, and handling basic inquiries.
• Manage Office Communications & Logistics: Efficiently sort and deliver incoming mail, meter outgoing mail, type various documents, order necessary office supplies, and work effectively with established office forms and procedures.
• Collaborate and Support: Work cooperatively within the team, demonstrating strong verbal communication, written communication, and organizational skills to ensure smooth office operations.
• Review Work: May review the work of entry- and mid-level clerks, contributing to quality control and team development.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. High School diploma complemented by two years of relevant experience or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. US citizenship is a mandatory requirement due to the nature of the project.
• Experience: A minimum of two years of experience in a relevant field.
• Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook. Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills, along with excellent organizational abilities.
• Bonus: Preference for candidates with three years of dedicated Data Entry experience. Familiarity and proficiency with Microsoft Teams.
