Corporate Accounting Co-op – Fall 2027 | Fifth Third Bank

The Tone:

What You’ll Actually Do
• Month-End Support: Support the month-end and year-end closing processes within the accounting department.
• Reporting Assistance: Assist in the preparation of financial statements and various reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Data Accuracy: Perform account reconciliations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
• Compliance Participation: Participate in internal audits and compliance reviews to uphold financial standards.
• Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data and provide insights to leadership to support informed decision-making.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing an Accounting, Economics, Finance, Data Science or related degree, expected to be a rising sophomore, rising junior, or rising senior.
• Experience: No prior experience required; must maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA and be authorized to work in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship now or in the future.
• Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); strong communication and interpersonal skills; detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Bonus: Relevant internships and/or co-op program experience; capacity to learn additional software applications as required by assignments.
