Operations Associate | The Voleon Group

The Tone:
This is an early-career rotational program with The Voleon Group, located in Berkeley, CA or New York, NY. Voleon is a technology company that applies advanced AI and machine learning to finance, leading its industry for nearly two decades. This program is designed to develop the firm’s next generation of leaders by providing substantive rotations and direct exposure to senior leadership. You will be part of a collaborative team that works at the frontier of applying AI/ML to investment management.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Complete three six-month rotations across the firm’s business functions, including Client Service, HR, Fund Finance, Legal, Compliance, and R&D teams.
• Execute high-impact project work within each rotation, contributing meaningfully to business outcomes.
• Collaborate directly with senior stakeholders and gain regular exposure to the executive team on firm priorities.
• Assume increasing responsibilities based on demonstrated ability and performance, rather than tenure alone.
• Contribute to the program itself through leadership opportunities, recruiting, and learning and development programming.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a rigorous undergraduate program, with no prior finance experience required.
• Experience: Early-career professional, including current students or recent graduates, with demonstrated ambition and ownership in building, leading, or improving something.
• Skills: Strong analytical and communication abilities; Critical thinking to identify and act on improvement opportunities; Comfort turning ambiguity into structure to solve problems; Capability to manage multiple work streams with high attention to detail; Genuine curiosity about how a quantitative investment firm operates.
