The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Type: Flexible Schedule (days, evenings, rotating shifts, weekends, holidays)
• Location: In-person Boston, MA
• Pay: $83193–$91293 yearly
• Team: Reports to the Assistant Director of Finance; supervises payroll, accounts payable, and general cashiering within the Finance Department.
• Mission: To accurately maintain the general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations, and supervise core finance departmental operations in adherence to policies.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Maintain: Assist the Assistant Director of Finance in the accurate maintenance of the general ledger.
• Reconcile: Support the Assistant Director of Finance by performing balance sheet reconciliations.
• Supervise Payroll: Supervise payroll operations within the Finance Department in accordance with all related local and corporate policies and procedures.
• Oversee Accounts Payable: Oversee accounts payable functions under the direction of the Assistant Director of Finance.
• Manage General Cashiering: Manage general cashiering activities in compliance with all relevant local and corporate policies and procedures.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Foundational understanding of accounting principles and practices relevant to general ledger, balance sheet reconciliations, payroll, accounts payable, and general cashiering.
• Experience: Experience assisting with general ledger maintenance and balance sheet reconciliations. Proven ability to supervise finance department areas such as payroll, accounts payable, and general cashiering.
• Skills: Proficiency in maintaining financial records, performing balance sheet reconciliations, and overseeing departmental financial processes while adhering to corporate and local policies.
