Community Health Outreach Intern | Susan G. Komen

What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Engagement: Contribute to hands-on projects within the assigned area of Fundraising and Business Development to build practical experience.
• Industry Immersion: Explore various facets of the nonprofit industry, potentially across departments such as Community Health, Marketing, and Community Engagement.
• Professional Collaboration: Engage in collaboration with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gain insights and support organizational initiatives.
• Skill Development: Develop professional skills and enhance a resume through structured remote learning and guided assignments.
• Networking Opportunities: Participate in opportunities to expand professional networks within the organization and the nonprofit sector.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Student currently enrolled in a 4-year or graduate degree program where an internship is a mandatory requirement for graduation, and must be concurrently enrolled in a class for academic credit.
• Experience: Ability to complete a minimum of 120 hours for the semester (January – May), with availability for at least two four-hour blocks or three three-hour blocks per business week. Demonstrated academic success with a minimum 3.0 G.P.A.
• Skills: Remote Work Proficiency (ability to maintain reliable internet access and operate effectively in a 100% remote environment), Academic Discipline (demonstrated by a minimum G.P.A of 3.0), Time Management (capacity to dedicate specific blocks of time during the business week for internship duties).
• Bonus: Interest in Social Services, Volunteer Management, Operations, Nonprofit Leadership, Hospitality & Event Planning, and/or Logistics.
