Executive Fellow in Association Leadership and Management | ASHP
The Tone:
This is a paid 12-month fellowship program at ASHP, located in Bethesda, MD, with a hybrid work model. ASHP is the largest association of pharmacy professionals in the United States, representing over 65,000 pharmacists, and is recognized as a Top Workplace. This role provides immersive, hands-on training in non-profit association leadership and management, designed to develop individuals into change agents who positively impact healthcare through practice, governance, and administrative leadership.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Strategic Support: Support, coordinate, and implement strategic initiatives impacting the association and the pharmacy profession.
• Policy Development: Contribute to ASHP’s policy development process and coordinate activities with key stakeholders.
• Event Management: Support and coordinate activities for ASHP’s National Meetings and Strategic Planning Retreat.
• Leadership Mentorship: Receive direct mentorship from the organization’s executive leadership across various functional areas.
• Skill Development: Gain hands-on training and hone skills in executive leadership, governance, advocacy, and program development.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Graduate of an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy, eligible for licensure to practice pharmacy in a U.S. state or territory.
• Experience: Strong involvement as a volunteer leader with a foundational understanding of pharmacy practice issues.
• Skills: Exceptional oral and written communication, excellent organizational and project management skills, proficiency in Windows-based computer applications.
• Bonus: Completion of an ASHP-accredited residency.
