Cashier – Part-Time (20 Hours/Week)

About Memorial Hospital Shiloh
Memorial Hospital Shiloh is a 94-bed, all-private suite hospital recognized with Magnet status in 2018 for nursing excellence. It provides comprehensive healthcare services including emergency care, labor & delivery, nursery, medical and surgical services, plus critical care. This role is specifically for the Coffee Shop, which serves the public with grab-and-go items.
Role Purpose
The Cashier position fulfills a variety of essential functions within the cafeteria, contributing to a smooth and efficient operation. This includes accurately ringing customer transactions, adhering to strict cash handling procedures, assisting with re-stocking duties, maintaining sanitation standards, and providing excellent customer service by assisting with requests.
Responsibilities
- Performs customer sales transactions with precision, maintaining accuracy and timeliness while strictly adhering to department cash-handling policies and procedures.
- Ensures the cash drawer is accurate and secure at all times.
- Actively assists with the resolution of customer service problems and promptly addresses customer requests to enhance satisfaction.
- Supports the team by assisting with re-stocking food areas and consistently complying with all sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe environment.
Schedule
- Part-Time Role: 20 Hours a Week
- Weekdays:
- 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- 3:30 p.m. to close
- Weekends: Working every other weekend from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Holidays: Rotating Holidays (hospital observed)
Minimum Requirements
- Experience: <2 years
- Supervisor Experience: No Experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
