What You’ll Actually Do
• Data Reporting: Create and cross-check weekly employee availability data, headcount reports, and monthly financial reporting to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Financial Analysis: Perform detailed overtime decomposition reporting, conduct budget OTPS variance analysis, review pay hour variance analysis, and complete labor costing analysis to support financial oversight.
• Dashboard Development: Assist in the creation of comprehensive reporting dashboards and the development of specific dashboard metrics to visualize key performance indicators.
• System Improvement: Contribute to initiatives aimed at improving existing data management practices and enhancing performance reporting tools for greater efficiency.
• Training Material: Aid in the development and creation of both physical and electronic training materials designed for Buses Hourly and Supervisory employees.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Candidates must be currently matriculated in an undergraduate program in good standing with a minimum GPA of 2.5, or matriculated in a graduate program in good standing with a minimum GPA of 2.8. Preferred academic majors include Accounting, Application Development, Business Administration, Computer Science, Data Science, Finance, Marketing, Transportation, or other related fields.
• Experience: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Skills: Possess strong organizational skills to manage various tasks and information effectively. Demonstrate analytical skills for interpreting data and performing variance analysis. Exhibit excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and presenting findings. Maintain a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in reporting and financial data, and prioritize tasks effectively while working independently as an active team player.
