FP&A Intern | Brightstar Lottery

The Tone:
This is an internship at Brightstar Lottery, located hybrid in Providence, RI. Brightstar is a global leader in lottery solutions, providing secure technology and comprehensive solutions to customers worldwide, with approximately 6,000 employees. This role supports the Technology business unit, allowing you to build foundational skills in financial administration, organization, and operational support within a global business setting. Your contributions will help maintain financial accuracy and streamline administrative processes for the team.

The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Type: Part-time (summer start, continuing at least 12 hours/week during academic year)
• Location: Hybrid – Providence, RI
• Pay: $24 hourly
• Team: Supporting Brightstar Lottery’s Technology business unit
• Mission: Coordinate travel, audit expenses, reconcile financial records, and provide administrative support within a global business environment.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel

What You’ll Actually Do
• Travel Coordination: Coordinate travel arrangements for employees using Brightstar Lottery’s internal booking systems.
• Expense Review: Review travel-related expenses to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Report Auditing: Audit expense reports and their supporting documentation for completeness and correctness.
• Financial Reconciliation: Reconcile corporate credit card transactions and related financial records.
• Administrative Assistance: Assist the Technology business unit with day-to-day administrative activities.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Enrollment in an accredited degree program with current student status, maintaining a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and good academic standing.
• Experience: Capacity to begin employment during the summer and continue working at least 12 hours per week throughout the fall semester.
• Skills: Demonstrated attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Bonus: Exposure to finance, accounting, business, or related coursework; familiarity with expense reporting, reconciliation, or administrative processes; interest in developing knowledge of financial planning and analysis functions; proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel; and initiative in managing multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy.
