Operations Manager, Asset Protection – DC/FC | Walmart

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Walmart, located in Pottsville, PA. Walmart is a global retail leader with an extensive grocery distribution network, crucial for supplying communities across the USA. This role is vital for safeguarding people, property, and products, directly impacting the integrity and efficiency of the grocery supply chain from warehouse to store.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Strategic Analysis: Utilize analytics and technology to identify risks, analyze causes, and implement solutions that enhance asset protection and operational efficiency.
• Solution Development: Recommend and implement strategies for inventory, cold chain, and product integrity challenges, building business cases to support Walmart’s grocery goals and achieve cost savings.
• Safety & Compliance: Support food safety and environmental audits, enforce policies to meet regulations, and oversee health and safety programs to ensure compliance with OSHA standards.
• Process Optimization: Define and refine critical workflows, focusing on efficiency, safety, and product quality, and coach team members in continuous improvement methodologies.
• Loss Prevention: Lead investigations into security incidents and shrinkage, implementing access controls and loss prevention measures specifically for grocery logistics.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Occupational Safety Management, Audit, or a related field, OR 3 years of experience in Asset Protection, Audit, Investigations, Safety, or Environmental, Health and Safety within Supply Chain, Retail, or Manufacturing environments.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Retail, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing environment. Proven experience in process improvement and operational efficiency, especially in high-volume, perishable product environments, coupled with strong knowledge of asset protection, investigations, and security best practices within distribution or logistics settings.
• Skills: Data Collection & Analysis, Data Visualization & Governance, Collaborative Communication with the ability to engage and influence cross-functional teams.
• Bonus: One or more certifications such as Loss Prevention Certification (LPC), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Associate Safety Professional, Certified Safety Professional, or Certified Safety Manager. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
