This critical position involves overseeing the daily work of staff to ensure clean, orderly, and attractive conditions are maintained, while also being financially responsible and actively driving new business acquisition in the market.

• Mission: Lead, oversee, and review daily cleaning services for assigned buildings, ensuring clean and orderly conditions, financial responsibility, and driving new business acquisition.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Leadership & Staff Management: Lead, oversee, and review the daily work of janitorial staff, monitoring performance to exceed client expectations, resolving concerns, ensuring proper uniform attire, and establishing work goals and methods.
• Financial Oversight & Budget Adherence: Review daily budget and payroll reports, track financial results, monitor employee punches and attendance for accuracy, minimize exception clocking’s through training, and manage all financial aspects within budget guidelines.
• Recruitment, Onboarding & HR Partnership: Anticipate hiring needs, develop recruitment strategies, process new hire paperwork, conduct comprehensive first-day onboarding and safety training, and partner with HR to address employee issues and identify high performers.
• Operational Excellence & Quality Assurance: Maintain a consistent visitation and audit schedule, perform regular quality control inspections, order supplies and manage equipment inventory, conduct preventative maintenance, and promptly address all customer call-outs and service needs.
• Safety Compliance & Business Development: Oversee all OSHA-required safety trainings, ensure weekly and monthly safety inspections, create and monitor site-specific safety exposure plans, maintain SDS sheets, report incidents immediately, and actively drive new business opportunities through team engagement and selling out-of-scope work.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Proven leadership and managerial experience within the janitorial services or facilities management industry, focused on delivering clean and orderly conditions while maintaining financial responsibility.
• Experience: Demonstrated experience in supervising and motivating cleaning teams, managing operational budgets, overseeing payroll and timekeeping systems, developing and executing recruitment strategies, conducting thorough employee onboarding, performing quality control audits, and ensuring adherence to safety regulations (OSHA).
• Skills: Strong capabilities in staff leadership and performance monitoring, budget and financial reporting analysis, precise payroll management, effective recruitment and onboarding processes, meticulous quality assurance, preventative equipment maintenance, comprehensive safety protocol implementation, and proactive new business development.
