• Team: Works alongside Arborist Climbers and Arborist Crew Leaders as part of a tree care crew.
• Mission: Learn and assist with scientific tree and shrub care on commercial and residential properties through hands-on training.
• Tech Stack: Hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts

What You’ll Actually Do
• Learning: Learn through on-the-job training to safely perform all aspects of arboriculture, including tree climbing, pruning, rigging, cabling and bracing, and the removal of hazardous trees.
• Equipment Operation: Properly maintain and operate various equipment such as hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.
• Safety Implementation: Implement work zone safety procedures and consistently adhere to all company safety rules and policies.
• Crew Support: Assist Arborist Climbers and Arborist Crew Leaders with tasks both on the ground and aloft, ensuring smooth crew operations.
• Vehicle Assistance: Support the team by assisting with driving, backing, dumping, and parking duties for company vehicles.

The Must-Haves
• Background: An entry-level candidate with a passion for nature, the environment, and the outdoors, interested in working outdoors year-round in all weather conditions.
• Experience: No prior experience explicitly required, but a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and the ability to work effectively on a multi-disciplinary team are essential.
• Skills: Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Bonus: Prior tree care, landscaping, forestry, turf care, or horticulture experience is preferred but not required. A degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, Turfgrass, Environmental Science, Plant Science, Outdoor Recreation, Agriculture, or a related field is also preferred.
