• Mission: To simplify transportation management for clients and carriers by providing insightful financial analysis, comprehensive reporting, and strategic guidance for critical business decisions.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Strategic Partnership: Partner directly with a specified Accounting team on a significant capstone project, contributing to real-world impactful opportunities related to clients and company operations.
• Financial Research: Conduct thorough research and provide assistance with various requests pertinent to ongoing Accounting projects and initiatives.
• Reporting & Analysis: Support the creation and distribution of financial reports, assist with detailed analysis, and contribute to statements in the broader accounting and financial space for all departments within Echo.
• Business Acumen Development: Gain comprehensive knowledge by shadowing individuals across different departments, developing an understanding of Echo’s business units, their customers, and the sales representatives that comprise them, as well as insight into various projects and roles within the Echo Accounting team.
• Leadership Presentation: Prepare and deliver a formal presentation to all leadership, detailing the experiences gained, goals met throughout the internship program, and the outcomes of a specific project.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled at a university as a rising senior, meaning at least one semester must remain after the completion of the internship. A minimum GPA of 3.5 is required.
• Experience: Must be available to start on May 24th, 2027, and committed to completing the entire 10-week paid internship program. The ability to work from the Chicago office 3 days a week, with a hybrid model for the remaining 2 days, is essential.
• Skills: Possess a can-do attitude, be organized, professional, and coachable, with demonstrated strong problem-solving, effective communication, efficient time management, and robust project management abilities.
• Bonus: A keen interest in logistics, coupled with a willingness to learn and embrace new challenges, and a strong collaborative spirit to support the team in various ways.
